The sound is very basic and natural tool of human language that’s why the study of phonetics has also gained the significant importance in the field of linguistics. Generally, two sides of the phonetics being considered in a scientific study; general sounds with a keen focus on their characteristics and tools, and formed sounds with a focus on syllables, stress, and tune. Syllable Structure constitutes the component of phonological words division focused on pronounceable segments of words and how they are composed, divided and distributed. While pronunciation, the Arabic language characterized by groups of syllables, and each group consist of several sections strongly joined to each other. Thus, the Arabic speech is divided into groups of those sections and each group usually known as “morphological unit” and such units finally characterize a word. The word is only a part of the speech characterized by the groups of syllables strongly joined with each other, but at the same time remain distinct and clear at the hearing, which helps to distinguish those groups and independent meanings in each language. The study of Arabic Syllable helps us to understand the possible forms of the Arabic words and make it possible to distinguish between Arabic and non-Arabic words as it also helps to understand the texture of Arabic word and rhythms of Arabic poetry. Thus, the aim of this paper is to present the various aspects of Syllable, its division, and importance in the Arabic language respectively.
